How We Provide Coaching


Coaching results are a product of many factors including the persistence, motivation, and effort of the client. Coaching is NOT an instant "fix" for anything. Consequently, a written agreement is required and the minimum initial package available is four-30 minute sessions for either personal, business, or executive coaching.

HireCoach does offer Gift Certificates with a minimum of one session. This Gift Certificate would be a follow-up to the first free 20 minute consultation.

The format is as follows:
  1.  After the Client selects HireCoach, he/she completes the application (available on-line under the Free/Pro Bono Service icon).
  2.  Suitability for coaching is established and a Welcome Packet is sent.
  3.  The Client completes the Welcome Packet and returns it. The purpose of the Welcome Packet is to provide information to have a "real" coaching session.
  4.  Disclosure, informed consent, and confidentiality issues are reviewed and agreed to by the Client.
  5.  Client and Coach schedule the free 20 minute consultation based on the information the Client provides in the Welcome Packet.
  6.  Following the consultation if Client and Coach agree there is a fit, they negotiate the agreement for services.
  7.  The Life Coaching Agreement/Policies & Procedures clearly specifies the cost, length of service, and the other particulars to be provided.

Contingent on the type of coaching to be provided, other tools utilized are a pre-session preparation form; a Client introduction profile; vision, mission, and goal statements along with other Client tailored items.

The Client and Coach meet at the scheduled date and time at the pre-selected venue---telecoaching, in-person or off-site, video conference, on-line, or conference bridge. Coaching is a fluent process, not a static event.

While it is desireable to have a face-to-face first session, geography and time constraints often preclude it. As an option, and since you see our pictures, we request a recent photo of you to enhance and personalize our focus on you. The primary format available is coaching by phone--telecoaching. For executive coaching, however, on-site coaching is more common. In a custom coaching contract, e-mail and other formats can be negotiated.

At HireCoach we tailor our methods to you personally or your business. Beginning with a needs assessment, we listen to you and ask provocative questions. A preliminary coaching plan is built based on your values, and your identified goals. Coaching provides focus, insight, support, and momentum. We bring our experience, knowledge, skills, and tools to guide your process. You maintain responsibility for all decision making. But not every method is for everyone. We adapt as necessary.

As the coaching process progresses through successive sessions, progress, challenges, and new strategies are generated and reviewed. Modification of plans and goals are common as new information is generated. Successful coaching reaches a conclusion when a specific learning or behavioral goal is achieved.

Group coaching is conducted on site or a conference call can be arranged.

Costs:
Retainers vary according to the agreement and type of coaching---business, executive, or personal. There are three types of packages:

  1.  Basic
  2.  Expanded
  3.  Custom


Personal Coaching packages can begin at under $200 per month, for a specified number of telecoaching sessions, certain conditions apply. Business Coaching packages are higher and Executive Coaching package fees reflect travel to and from on-site venues and extended preparation time.
